Keynote Presentation: Amanda Green
AMANDA GREEN is a two-time Tony Award-nominated and Grammy-nominated lyricist/composer and award-winning performer.
She received 2022 Tony, Drama Desk Award and Grammy nominations for her lyrics for Mr. Saturday Night starring the legendary Billy Crystal. She received Tony Award, two Drama Desk Award and OCC nominations for Hands On A Hardbody which she co-wrote with Phish frontman Trey Anastasio and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright. In the same season, she co-wrote lyrics with Lin Manuel Miranda for Bring It On (Tony nominated for Best Musical, Drama Desk nomination for Lyrics).
Other Broadway credits include High Fidelity, and more recently, additional book and lyrics for the revival of Kiss Me, Kate starring Kelli O’Hara (2019), and additional lyrics for On the Twentieth Century starring Kristin Chenoweth (2014).
Current projects include Female Troubles: A Period Piece, an original musical comedy set in 19th Century England focusing on reproductive freedoms and the much-anticipated Broadway-bound musical adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians with Helen Park and team.
In addition to her writing prowess, Amanda is a groundbreaking leader in the theatre community. She serves as the first woman President of The Dramatists Guild of America, advocating for playwrights and composers in an ever-evolving industry.
