You are on your own for dinner Friday night before the New Works Cabaret and lunch on Saturday. Here is a list of restaurants within walking (and shuttle/Uber) distance of the hotel:

I'm not familiar with DFW. Can you help me with best travel plans?

Absolutely!

The closest airport to our venue is DFW International Airport, which is home to American Airlines. You can get there from just about anywhere! It’s around 25 minutes from our festival hotel, so plan to snag an Uber or similar rideshare to get from the airport to the hotel. You can check out all the DFW Transportation options here: DFW Transportation

Dallas Love Field is about a 50 minute drive to Frisco and offers flights with Southwest, Alaska, and Delta. You can find all the ride sharing information for DAL here: DAL Transportation

Shuttle Service

Hyatt Regency Frisco-Dallas is pleased to offer complimentary shuttle service within a 3 miles radius of the hotel on a first come first serve basis. Hours of operations may vary. Please see front desk staff for details. Please note: This is not a shuttle service to or from the Airport.

Downtown Frisco is a bustling, beautiful area with fun nightlife, good eats, and pretty much anything you could possibly want within a short drive – the perfect place to soak up the excitement and friendly ambiance of Frisco.  A rental car is needed if you plan to explore beyond the Hyatt Regency Dallas – Frisco and Stonebriar Centre. How do I submit my show for the In-Person Pitch Night?

Gather your completed script, piano/vocal score, synopsis and demos and submit here for the opportunity to pitch your show LIVE and IN-PERSON at our Festival Pitch Night.
Five to seven writing teams will be selected to present a 5-minute pitch to all Festival attendees, directors, producers and creators of theatre.

How do I sign up for the New Works Cabaret and Song Feedback Sessions?

Gather your piano/vocal score and demos (if available) and submit here for the opportunity to hear your songs performed by local top DFW talent and our Broadway pros!

Note: Festival registration is not a guarantee that your song will be performed, but it is our desire to feature as many submissions as possible between our New Works Cabaret, Open Mic Nights and Feedback Panels.

Can I only submit one song for cabaret/workshop consideration?

You can submit up to three (3) selections from each show.

I have lead sheets and recorded demos, but the piano/vocal sheet music is in process. Is it OK to submit what I have, then provide the sheet music when ready?

You can submit what you have, but piano/vocal is definitely preferred because it allows us to really get a feel for what the final product will be at the cabaret.

What is the deadline to submit songs?

We will be crafting all of the line ups (Friday night cabaret, Open Mic nights, Feedback workshops) through June 20.

When will the songs selections be announced?

July 1!

What is your cancellation policy?

If your cancellation request is received on or before June 1, 2024, your festival admission is refundable but subject to a $25 service fee. Due to financial obligations incurred by MusicalWriters.com LLC, if your cancellation request is received between June 2 & July 1, 2024, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds or credits will be issued on cancellation requests received after July 1, 2024. Please submit your cancellation request to rebecca@musicalwriters.com.
